Celebrate Week of the Young Child and support Pre-K for PA
All Children Ready to Succeed
The Pre-K for PA campaign strives to ensure that early education is a big part of the conversation among candidates in the 2014 Pennsylvania election. All children should have the opportunity to enter school ready to succeed, and your help is needed to send that message to candidates for governor and the legislature. Pre-K for PA is an issue campaign supported by individuals and organizations across Pennsylvania who believe that investing in our children is the right choice and an urgent necessity. The campaign vision is that every 3- and 4-year-old in Pennsylvania will have access to high-quality pre-k
High-quality early learning opportunities would not be possible without high-quality early childhood educators. That’s why, during this year’s Week of the Young Child™ from April 6-12, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is focusing on the extraordinary teachers who are at the heart of early learning. This year’s theme, “Early Years are the Learning Years,” highlights how a high-quality early childhood experience and the professionals that shape that experience help pave a child’s path for success in school and beyond. We will spend this week – along with all of our partners and affiliates around the country and the world – reinforcing how critical the early years are to building the skills necessary to succeed in school and in life, with a particular emphasis on the important role that early childhood professionals play in that process. So please join us in this celebrating this important week by helping to raise public awareness around the importance of high-quality pre-k. Learn more about special events in your community by visiting NAEYC’s interactive event map, celebrate with us by participating in NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child Music Fest on Google Hangout on April 9 and sign on to support the Pre-K for PA campaign. Let’s join together during NAEYC’s 2014 Week of the Young Child™ to celebrate our children and families – and to acknowledge our early learning educators and staff for the wonderful work they do each and every day to ensure our children arrive to school ready to learn and take advantage of the benefits of the classroom.
Thank you for your participation in the Pre-K for PA campaign!
